Sadly Holly passed away December 20, 2018. Holly loved working in the healthcare field. She had a big heart and loved all animals. She was dearly loved by our team and patients, and she will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Phil J. We will be forever grateful for Phil’s 28+ years of outstanding and long time service to our practice, his dedication and care shown to our Doctors, team and patients. Phil was our Clinic Director and instrumental in managing and training our clinics staff, and opening multiple offices. Even in retirement Phil was still very connected to Florida Retina Institute. Phil was loved and valued by so many and will be greatly missed. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Joseph Allen, one of our most valued team members. Mike worked closely with Dr. Thomas Barnard for many years as an ophthalmic technician. His dedication, care, and warm personality left a lasting impact on our practice. He will be deeply missed by our doctors, staff, and all who knew him. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mike's family and friends. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Brianna Robinson, a beloved member of the Florida Retina Institute family. Brianna was a dedicated member of our Jacksonville team, serving in multiple roles and consistently demonstrating professionalism, kindness, and a strong sense of responsibility. A trusted colleague and natural protector, she always put others first and ensured those around her felt supported.

More than a coworker, Brianna was a friend, encourager, and lovingly known as an “auntie” to many of our FRI babies. Devoted to her family and siblings, she embraced life with confidence, independence, and joy. Brianna will be deeply missed, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the many lives she touched. In Loving Memory of Sandy R. Florida Retina Institute is mourning the loss of our dear colleague and friend, Sandy R. Sandy dedicated more than 20 years to serving patients and supporting teams in our Jacksonville location, always bringing kindness, steadiness, and professionalism to everything she did. Her legacy lives on in the patients she helped, the colleagues she strengthened, and the many lives she touched during her two decades with us. Sandy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her Florida Retina Institute family. She leaves behind a lasting imprint on all of us, and it is hard to believe she is gone.
