Doctor Moreno holds a Bachelors of Science degree and earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He completed an internal medicine internship, Department of Medicine, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and an ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Following residency training, Dr. Moreno completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was the Chief Resident of Ophthalmology and an instructor for the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Vanderbilt Eye Institute.
Dr. Tomas Moreno also worked for the Department of Veteran Affairs as an Ophthalmologist for the Department of Surgery.
Doctor Tomas Moreno joined Florida Retina Institute in August, 2019.
Dr. Tomas Moreno is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys traveling, soccer, Duke basketball, mentoring, volunteering, and spending time with his family.
