Florida Retina Institute would like to invite all to join our team, Florida Retina Institute Team Sunshine, on Saturday, February 6th 2021, for the annual American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of Darkness walk.
Held in hundreds of cities across the country, these walks give people the courage to open up about their own struggle or loss, and the platform to change our culture’s approach to mental health.
Mental health awareness and suicide prevention are critical topics that we need to discuss and be open about.
#DYK Every day, nearly 129 Americans take their own life.
Ninety percent of all people who die by suicide have a diagnosable psychiatric disorder at the time of their death.
The most important way to stop suicide is through early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of depression and other mental health disorders.
Florida Retina Institute is a proud gold sponsor for this year’s walk.
