He has presented research at national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing clinical knowledge and patient care.
About Vikram E. Ponnusamy, MD
Dr. Vikram Ponnusamy is a board-certified, fellowship trained vitreoretinal specialist dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal conditions. He is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care and advancing patient outcomes through evidence-based medicine and clinical research.
Dr. Ponnusamy has received extensive training at leading academic institutions and has served in leadership roles throughout his medical career, including as Chief Resident in ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina.
Personal
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ponnusamy enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, running, and weight training. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
