William J. Dunn, MD, FACS, CHE
Doctor Dunn is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and received his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Dunn then completed a flexible internship at Andrews Air Force Base, MD, (home of Air Force One) followed by an ophthalmology residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. After residency training and twelve years of Active Duty in the Air Force, Dr. Dunn completed a fellowship in Retina and Vitreous Disease and Surgery at Retina Associates of Cleveland, Mt. Sinai Medical Center/Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Dunn joined the Florida Retina Institute in July, 1991. The proud father of four adult children, Doctor Dunn also
volunteers on third world eye missions, holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot and Single Pilot Jet Rating, and achieved the rank of Colonel, USAF, retiring with more than 30 years of active duty, guard and reserve service to our country.

Raised in Arizona, Doctor Dunn enjoys running, flying, skydiving, and traveling with his four children. Doctor Dunn also volunteers on third world eye missions and is a principal investigator on multiple national clinical studies in vitreoretinal research. Doctor Dunn also holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot and Single Pilot Jet Rating.
